Child Health Checks Appeal

Why?
Most children attending Good Shepherd schools come from poor and marginalised communities where access to healthcare is very limited. As a result, many come with unidentified health issues which can badly affect their schooling.
This is why we do what we do!
What?
Early and regular health checks in school are very important.
How?
Our community health workers are trained to conduct these health checks and can quickly identify common problems such as poor eyesight, poor hearing or more seriously, malnutrition. They can also get help from other medics when required.
Once identified many health issues can be resolved at low cost. For example, it costs only £5 to check a child's eyesight and provide a pair of spectacles.
Your gift will help fund essential health checks.
